This nodule is caracteristic from a recent occurence within the historical Buchanan Ranch location: yellow-green matrix, agate core with some fortifications in a purple/mauve hue. The star shape from the core (also cristallized), is also caracteristic. It corresponds to some holes from the original empty space within the host-rock (a rhyolite), where water deposited minerals and therefore produce this particular core. The back is complete, with pressure ridges.

More recent occurence with the Buchanan Ranch location, many thundereggs have been extracted, however not that many in this size and with such a nice core.
